Forest in the Canary Islands

We stayed in Gáldar in the north of Gran Canaria this summer for a few days, and since we are always attracted to a forest in Canary Islands we decided to go on a hike. It was so hot though it was way too much to enjoy the walk, the temperatures were around 40ºC, the light breeze of air was warm and there were other forest areas at the same time on the island that were closed off because of danger of fires, we were safe where we were but we settled for a picnic in the shade and enjoyed the trees.

After about an hour we decided the coast was a much better option to cool down so we went to visit the ocean man made pools in Gáldar. The water temperature was perfect to refresh.

During this trip our friend rented a tent to place on top of her van, I didn’t get round to taking many pictures of it but her kids loved it so I thought of sharing the company name since their service was excellent and I feel confortable recommending them. www.campelcanarias.com

The kids in the van are wearing Snurk, a dutch brand, we love their organic clothes which can be used to sleep but also anytime outdoors because they are so confortable and fun! www.snurkamsterdam.com

The swimsuits are from Tenue de Soleil, a swimwear brand which we have loved for some time and we use to protect the kids from the strong sun. www.tenuesoleil.com
